We've spent the last few weeks discussing several interesting findings from our new Supplemental Report on Reference Collateral. So far we've looked at how a variety of reference content can help you reach your target audiences, and we've explored which channels are the most influential for delivering those materials.
Today we're going to dig a little deeper into what people actually do with your content after they discover it on your website or receive it from a colleague. Of course they read, watch, or listen to it (depending on the format you use to deliver it), but more than 80 percent of the people we surveyed take the next step and share reference collateral with one or more colleagues.
Even more interestingly, there are some significant differences between the sharing habits of Influencers and Decision makers. Influencers as a group tend to share more often, but share with primarily only one or two people in the organization. Decision Makers, though they share less frequently, share with more people: three, four, or more within the organization.
