When we attended the 2010 Customer Reference Forum in February, the topic of using Flip videos to generate user-generated video testimonials came up—actually a couple of times. Reference folks are excited about sending cameras out to end users with the idea of having them send spontaneously shot video back, ready for sharing on community pages and corporate web sites. But they all said it didn’t work—no one sent footage back. Duh!
